CT & Site Feasibility
PRISM, a Platform for Research Intelligence & Site Mapping, takes fragmented, scattered, disparate datasets and refracts them into clear clinical trial feasibility decisions.
PRISM isn’t another site data provider selling you a static database. It is a data-agnostic intelligence and decision engine built to harmonise every data feed you rely on – Citeline, CTMS, trial registries, epidemiology sources, internal insights & knowledge-into a single, unified feasibility workflow. PRISM is your decision & harmonisation layer for clinical trial feasibility.
PRISM streamlines the identification, evaluation, and allocation of Countries, PIs, and Sites in three distinct ways:
One Data View
Every CT-relevant data source you rely on-internal and external-pulled into a single, unified view. No more reconciling five exports to answer one basic question.
Analysis on Your Terms
Query, filter, and rank your data through multiple angles of attack-configured to how your organisation actually evaluates feasibility, not a generic vendor template.
One Workflow, Start to Finish Feasibility, evaluation, identification, allocation, and projections-managed in a single system, instead of scattered across spreadsheets, emails, and institutional memory.
You Don't Have a Data Shortage - You Have a Harmonisation Problem
Ask a feasibility lead how they built their last country and site shortlist, and you’ll usually get a version of the same answer: a combination of tools, inputs, workflows, subscription datasets, and not all connected together!
And it can be painful, resource-intensive, not completely accurate, and it’s costing you more than you think.
The data is everywhere except where you need it to make a decision
You’re already spending significant budget on external site intelligence databases, trial registries, and epidemiology datasets. Yet:
- External site performance history lives in one system.
- Investigator trial history lives in another.
- Epidemiology and disease incidence data lives somewhere else entirely.
- Your own internal data-the institutional memory of which sites actually delivered, which PIs didn’t, and which countries blew past start-up timelines is scattered across CTMS records, email threads, spreadsheets, and in the memory of people who've been doing this for a decade.
The numbers don't tell the whole story
A site can look perfect on paper-great enrolment history, solid start-up times, strong PI credentials and still be the wrong choice, because nobody captured that the site coordinator just left, or that the PI is trying to manage three competing trials right now, or they don’t have the right storage environment for your trial therapy. Pure data-driven ranking without qualitative context isn’t decision-making, it’s guessing with extra steps.
Manual processes don't scale
Running a feasibility assessment for one Phase 2 study manually is painful. Try doing it for a global Phase 3 trial across 25 countries with hundreds of candidate sites, on a deadline, while stakeholders across medical, regulatory, and clinical operations all want visibility and a say. This is where non-connected feasibility systems don’t deliver what you need-right when the stakes are highest.
Nobody has a single source of truth
Every time someone asks “why isn’t this PI on our list anymore?” or “where does this country rank and why?”, someone has to go reconstruct the answer. There’s no audit trail, no consistent methodology, and no way to defend a decision six months later when someone asks about it in a governance review.
Feasibility deserves better tooling and that’s why we built PRISM – as a data-agnostic decision layer centered around three core objectives.
Objective 1: One Data View - Data-Agnostic Harmonisation
Start querying one source of truth.
Whatever data sources you’re currently juggling – CTMS platforms, third-party site intelligence databases, trial registries, epidemiology datasets, or your own internal data lake – PRISM ingests and harmonises them into a single, consistent structure so you can unlock the full value of the everything you already own.
Ingest and Harmonise, Automatically
Different systems format things differently. IDs don’t match. Validation levels vary between an internal record and a third-party dataset. PRISM’s data processing layer handles the disambiguation work so your team doesn’t have to – orchestrating ingestion, resolving conflicts, and applying the business logic that turns “ten messy exports” into one trustworthy dataset, aggregated at the investigator, site, country, and study level.
Turn Raw Data into Decision-Ready Metrics
Raw numbers rarely answer the question you’re actually asking. PRISM lets you create “calculated values” specific to your needs – custom metrics derived from your underlying data feeds, such as average enrolment time for a site within a specific therapeutic area, screen failure rates, or start-up cycle times. These calculated values drive good decisions, updating automatically as your underlying data sources update.
See It All in One Central Dashboard
Country-level views, site and investigator-level profiles combining third-party metrics with internal track records, contact information, trial history, comments, flags, and calculated values – all in one place. Whether you need a bird’s-eye view of an entire region or a deep dive into a single investigator’s track record, PRISM’s dashboards adapt to the question you’re asking.
Objective 2: Analysis On Your Terms
Your criteria, your weightings, your call.
Every organisation evaluates feasibility differently-and even within one organisation, a rare disease trial and a large global Phase 3 study don’t need the same scoring logic. PRISM is built around that reality, not against it.
Rank countries, PIs, and sites your way. PRISM keeps scoring flexible.
You define the criteria that matter – enrolment performance, therapeutic experience, competing trial load, start-up speed, diversity metrics, whatever’s relevant to the study in front of you – and assign the weightings that reflect your priorities. The result: a ranked, defensible long list that narrows to a shortlist as fast as your team can review it.
Layer in the human insight the data can't capture.
This is the part traditional site selection platforms miss entirely. PRISM gives every authorised stakeholder – feasibility leads, clinical operations, medical affairs, even external partners where appropriate – a structured way to add qualitative input directly onto the harmonised dataset. Context, flags, and comments now all live alongside the numbers.
Stay flexible as your needs change.
New data source available? New metric your medical team wants tracked? A scoring model that needs adjusting for a new therapeutic area? PRISM is built so these are configuration changes, not re-development projects. Your dashboards and metrics stay pertinent to the problem in front of you-not frozen at whatever was important when the platform launched.
Objective 3: One Workflow, Start to Finish
Feasibility, evaluation, identification, allocation, projections – in a single system.
Feasibility isn’t one decision, it’s a sequence of them – and organisations often manage that sequence across a patchwork of tools, spreadsheets, and inboxes. PRISM manages the whole thing as one connected workflow, so nothing gets lost in the handoff between stages.
Manage the whole process in one place
Every feasibility assessment lives in its own workspace where you assign data views, track progress through your workflow stages, and store the evidence behind every decision. Stakeholders across functions and geographies work from the same live picture.
Move from evaluation to allocation and keep the thread
As a study progresses from identifying candidate countries and sites, through evaluation and stakeholder consensus, to final allocation and enrolment projections – PRISM keeps the full history connected. The ranked list, the human commentary, the decisions made along the way: all part of one continuous record.
Get a feasibility package that's actually ready to use
The end output isn’t just a ranked spreadsheet. PRISM compiles your recommendations, supporting calculations, evidence points, qualitative insights, and projections into a structured feasibility package.
Who PRISM Is Built For
1
Feasibility leads who need a faster, more defensible way to build country and site shortlists while unlocking the full value of existing data subscriptions.
2
Clinical operations teams bringing site and investigator selection in-house, rather than relying entirely on CRO-managed processes for institutional knowledge they never get to keep.
3
Medical directors and cross-functional stakeholders who need visibility into feasibility decisions and a structured way to contribute expert judgement.
4
Organisations scaling up trial volume and especially those preparing for larger, more complex Phase 3 studies.
Getting There: Implementation Pathways
No two organisations start from the same place. Your data landscape, your existing data subscriptions, and your appetite for a phased rollout versus a full build all shape the right path-so PRISM is delivered through a structured, flexible implementation model rather than a one-size-fits-all deployment.
1. Start with Discovery
Every implementation begins with a focused discovery phase: mapping your current-state process, your available data sources, your desired outputs, and the business logic that needs to sit behind your scoring and ranking engine.
This phase is typically run as a fixed-price, fixed-scope engagement, concluding with a clear Go/No-Go decision point before any development begins. You get a delivery plan, a data transformation plan, and an integration roadmap, with full visibility into cost and timeline before committing further.
2. Choose your build approach
Depending on your existing technology environment and appetite for customisation, there are three viable paths:
A fully custom build
PRISM is architected specifically around your unique data sources, scoring logic, and workflows-offering maximum flexibility and long-term control.
Delivered within your existing technology stack
If your organisation already runs a platform well-suited to hosting this kind of workflow (such as an existing case-management system), PRISM’s ingestion, scoring, and workflow logic can be built to operate directly within that environment. Faster to deploy, with some trade-offs in customisation scope.
A Hybrid Approach
Custom-built data ingestion, disambiguation, and querying, with analytics and reporting delegated to an existing business intelligence tool you already use. This balances data-side flexibility with faster reporting deployment.
3. Build in phases, not all at once
Rather than attempting to deliver every feature on day one, PRISM is typically rolled out through a phased MVP approach:
Phase 1 (Initial Rollout)
Focuses on the highest-priority capabilities – core data ingestion from key feeds, the scoring and ranking engine, and foundational dashboards-so your team is running real feasibility work on the platform as early as possible.
Subsequent Phases
Layer in deeper functionality over time: richer PI and site profiles, automated survey integration (eFeasibility) with sites and investigators, expanded workflow and case-management capability, and-when your data and process maturity support it-AI-assisted recommendations.
This means you’re not waiting a year for value, and you’re not locked into a rigid scope.
4. What we need from you & Ongoing Partnership
A successful implementation depends on genuine collaboration during discovery-access to subject-matter expertise on your side, clarity on your data sources, and a willingness to make early scoping decisions so Phase 1 stays focused and achievable.
Once live, PRISM is supported through ongoing license and maintenance arrangements, backed by dedicated professional services (account management, project management, and helpdesk support) to keep the platform evolving alongside your feasibility process.
Why All This Matters More Than Most Think
Every week spent reconciling spreadsheets instead of running feasibility analysis is a week your competitors might be closer to activating the right sites first. Every decision made without a proper audit trail is a governance risk waiting to surface at the worst possible moment. Every piece of contextual knowledge that lives only in someone’s head-and not in your system-is one step away from being lost entirely.
Feasibility done well isn’t just faster. It’s more defensible, more collaborative, and more resilient to the people and process changes every organisation goes through.
PRISM doesn’t ask you to trust data blindly, and it doesn’t ask you to buy another static database. It harmonises the datasets you already pay for and gives you structure alongside gut feel-all in one place, with a clear record of how every decision was reached.
One View. One Workflow. Better Feasibility Decisions.
PRISM brings your data, analysis, expert judgement and workflow together in one place – giving your team a clearer, more defensible way to identify the right countries, PIs and sites.
